I agree with you on the second point, assuming she didn't ask permission which I think is a fair assumption. Still I don't think it is a hanging offense. The point she doesn't address is whether it is valid to claim Friday's expenses for 7 hours work in the wee hours, she could have done most of this work from home, and slept instead.
